YUTAKA MICHIWAKI VERLAAT DE FREETHIEL
SK Beveren neemt afscheid van aanvaller Yutaka Michiwaki (19). SK Beveren en Roasso Kumamoto hebben in onderling overleg besloten om de lopende huurovereenkomst vervroegd te beëindigen.
Yutaka Michiwaki arriveerde in de zomer van 2024 op 18-jarige leeftijd op de Freethiel. De Japanner had op bijzonder jonge leeftijd zijn talent al laten opmerken en tal van Europese clubs waren logischerwijs dan ook geïnteresseerd. SKB was dan ook bijzonder opgetogen de spits aan haar kern te kunnen toevoegen.
In zijn eerste seizoen op de Freethiel verscheen de Japanner 24 keer tussen de lijnen. Daarin kon hij de netten vier keer doen trillen. Dit seizoen kenmerkte zich vooral door korte invalbeurten. In de partij tegen Olympic Charleroi lukte hij zijn laatste goal voor onze Leeuwen.

“Na een grondige interne evaluatie met de sportieve staf waarin het perspectief van elke speler toekomstgericht werd besproken, kwamen we tot de conclusie dat we Yutaka niet de gewenste speelminuten konden garanderen. Vandaar is het beter voor Yutaka dat hij elders minuten kan gaan maken, zodat hij aan een nieuw hoofdstuk in zijn nog prille carrière kan beginnen.”
Na constructief overleg tussen SK Beveren en Roasso Kumamoto werd een akkoord bereikt waarin alle partijen zich konden vinden.
SK Beveren bedankt Yutaka Michiwaki voor zijn inzet en toewijding en wenst hem alle succes toe in het verdere verloop van zijn carrière.
YUTAKA MICHIWAKI LEAVES THE FREETHIEL
SK Beveren bids farewell to forward Yutaka Michiwaki (19). SK Beveren and Roasso Kumamoto have mutually agreed to terminate the current loan agreement prematurely.
Yutaka Michiwaki arrived at the Freethiel in the summer of 2024 at the age of 18. The Japanese forward had already made a strong impression with his talent at a very young age, and numerous European clubs were therefore logically interested. SKB was particularly pleased to be able to add the striker to its squad.
In his first season at the Freethiel, the Japanese player made 24 appearances. During those matches, he found the back of the net four times. The current season was mainly characterised by short substitute appearances. Against Olympic Charleroi, he scored his final goal for our Lions.

“After a thorough internal evaluation with the sporting staff, during which the future-oriented perspective of each player was discussed, we came to the conclusion that we could not guarantee Yutaka the desired playing time. Therefore, it is better for Yutaka to gain minutes elsewhere, so that he can begin a new chapter in his still young career.”
Following constructive discussions between SK Beveren and Roasso Kumamoto, an agreement was reached that satisfied all parties.
