WELKOM OP DE FREETHIEL, ILYES NAJIM!
SKB verwelkomt met Ilyes Najim een nieuwe flankaanvaller. De 22-jarige Fransman maakt de overstap van SM Caen. Najim ondertekende bij geel-blauw een contract voor de komende twee seizoenen met een optie op een derde jaar.
Ilyes Najim werd opgeleid bij SM Caen waarvoor hij op 3 april 2021 bij de hoofdmacht in de Ligue 2 debuteerde. Aansluitend tekende hij in mei 2022 bij de ploeg uit Normandië zijn eerste profcontract.
Om ervaring op te doen, werd de flankaanvaller meerdere keren uitgeleend: in het seizoen 2022–2023 aan Bourg-en-Bresse (31 wedstrijden), in het eerste deel van het seizoen 2023-2024 aan Martigues (19 wedstrijden) en vanaf januari aan Cholet (18 wedstrijden).
In het seizoen 2024–2025 keerde hij terug naar Caen waar hij sindsdien regelmatig minuten maakte in het eerste elftal. In de laatste twee wedstrijden van het seizoen wist hij telkens te scoren.
Najim is een technisch vaardige, snelle aanvaller die bekend staat om zijn dribbels en creativiteit. Hij zal aantreden met het nummer 7.

“Ilyes is een energieke speler die met, maar ook zonder de bal, voor veel diepgang zorgt. Zowel in aanvallend als in verdedigend opzicht vervult hij zijn taken. Je kan écht op hem rekenen. In een persoonlijke gesprek samen met de coach kwam hij bovendien heel matuur over. Ilyes is multi-inzetbaar: hij kan op beide flanken goed uit de voeten en kan ook zelfs als nummer 10 uitgespeeld worden.”

ILYES NAJIM JOINS BEVEREN!
SKB is delighted to announce the signing of winger Ilyes Najim. The 22-year-old Frenchman joins from SM Caen and has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, with an option for a third season.
Najim came through the youth ranks at SM Caen and made his senior debut in Ligue 2 on 3 April 2021. He went on to sign his first professional contract with the Normandy-based club in May 2022.
In search of first-team experience, the pacey wide man spent time out on loan: at Bourg-en-Bresse during the 2022–23 campaign (31 appearances), Martigues in the first half of 2023–24 (19 appearances), and Cholet in the second half of that same season (18 appearances).
Najim returned to Caen for the 2024–25 season, where he featured regularly for the first team and found the net in each of the final two matches of the campaign.
Known for his technical ability, speed, and flair, Najim adds creativity and attacking threat to the SKB squad. He will wear the number 7 shirt.
