SK Beveren versterkt zijn aanval met Victor Olatunji. De 26-jarige Nigeriaanse centrumaanvaller komt op huurbasis over van Real Salt Lake uit de Major League Soccer en verbindt zich tot het einde van het seizoen 2026/27 aan geel-blauw.
Olatunji (1m93) deed doorheen zijn carrière ervaring op in verschillende Europese competities. Na passages in Slowakije, Oostenrijk en Cyprus belandde hij in 2023 bij Slovan Liberec in Tsjechië.
Zijn prestaties daar leverden hem enkele maanden later een transfer op naar Sparta Praag. Bij de Tsjechische topclub kwam Olatunji ook in actie op het Europese toneel, zowel in de UEFA Champions League als de UEFA Europa League.
Nadien maakte hij de overstap naar Real Salt Lake in de Major League Soccer. In 220 wedstrijden kwam de Nigeriaanse aanvaller 47 keer tot scoren. Olatunji is een snelle en krachtige centrumspits die graag de ruimte achter de verdediging aanvalt, maar ook sterk is in en rond de zestien. Met zijn combinatie van werkkracht, diepgang en aanwezigheid in het strafschopgebied voegt hij een ander profiel toe aan de aanval van geel-blauw.

NIGERIAN STRIKER OLATUNJI JOINS SKB ON LOAN
SK Beveren is strengthening its attack with Victor Olatunji. The 26-year-old Nigerian centre-forward joins on loan from Real Salt Lake of Major League Soccer and is committing to the yellow-and-blue club until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Olatunji (1m93/6'4") gained experience in various European competitions throughout his career. After spells in Slovakia, Austria, and Cyprus, he joined Slovan Liberec in the Czech Republic in 2023.
His performances there earned him a transfer to Sparta Prague a few months later. At the Czech top club, Olatunji also featured on the European stage, both in the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.
He subsequently moved to Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer. In 220 matches, the Nigerian forward scored 47 goals. Olatunji is a fast and powerful centre-forward who likes to attack the space behind the defence, but is also strong in and around the penalty box. With his combination of work rate, depth-running ability, and presence in the penalty area, he adds a different profile to the yellow-and-blue attack.
