SK Beveren versterkt zijn defensie met Stephane Keller. De 25-jarige Kameroense verdediger komt op huurbasis over van Al-Ittihad Club uit de Saudi Pro League en verbindt zich tot het einde van het seizoen 2026/27 aan geel-blauw.
Keller (1m90) genoot zijn opleiding bij AS Fortuna Yaoundé en maakte in 2018 de overstap naar de academie van Deportivo Alavés. In januari 2021 debuteerde hij er in LaLiga.
Nadien deed hij ervaring op in de Kroatische hoogste klasse bij NK Istra 1961 en op Cyprus bij AEL Limassol.
In februari 2026 maakte Keller de overstap naar Al-Ittihad. Bij zijn eerste basisplaats vond hij meteen de weg naar doel in de AFC Champions League Elite tegen Al-Sadd.
Een maand later maakte hij zijn debuut voor de nationale ploeg van Kameroen. Keller is een rechtsvoetige centrale verdediger die zich onderscheidt door zijn athletisch vermogen, duelkracht en fysieke présence. Hij vervoegt de kern met het oog op extra kwaliteit en concurrentie centraal achterin.

SKB SIGN STEPHANE KELLER ON LOAN FROM AL-ITTIHAD
SK Beveren have strengthened their defence with the signing of Stephane Keller. The 25-year-old Cameroonian defender joins the club on loan from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad Club until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Keller (1.90m) began his development at AS Fortuna Yaoundé before joining the Deportivo Alavés academy in 2018. He made his LaLiga debut for the Spanish club in January 2021.
He subsequently gained further top-flight experience with NK Istra 1961 in Croatia and AEL Limassol in Cyprus.
In February 2026, Keller completed a move to Al-Ittihad. In his first start for the club, he immediately found the net in the AFC Champions League Elite against Al-Sadd. One month later, Keller made his senior international debut for Cameroon.
Keller is a right-footed centre-back who stands out for his athleticism, strength in duels and physical presence. He joins the squad to add further quality and competition at the heart of the defence.
