SK Beveren is verheugd de komst van een jong talent aan te mogen kondigen. Noah Mawete (19) ondertekende vanavond bij geel-blauw een contract voor drie seizoenen met een optie op een extra jaar.
Noah Mawete Kinsiona heeft zowel de Belgische als de Congolese nationaliteit. Hij speelde tot nu toe voornamelijk als verdedigende middenvelder, maar is ook inzetbaar in de verdediging. Zijn jeugdopleiding genoot hij grotendeels bij Standard Luik, waar hij zich ontwikkelde tot een veelbelovend talent.
In 2022 maakte Mawete zijn debuut in de Challenger Pro League bij SL16, het beloftenteam van Standard. In twee seizoenen verzamelde hij 56 wedstrijden bij de Rouches. Daarnaast kreeg hij ook meermaals kansen in het eerste elftal van Standard. Het seizoen 2024-2025 werkte hij op uitleenbasis af bij Lierse. Voor de Pallieters kwam hij afgelopen seizoen twintig keer in actie.
Mawete vertegenwoordigde België in verschillende jeugdreeksen. Hij staat bekend om zijn uithoudingsvermogen, positioneel inzicht en defensieve sterkte. Mawete zal bij SKB aantreden met het nummer 26.

SK Beveren is delighted to announce the signing of promising young talent Noah Mawete. The 19-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with an option for a further season.
Noah Mawete Kinsiona holds both Belgian and Congolese nationality. Primarily a defensive midfielder, he is also capable of playing across the back line. He came through the youth ranks at Standard Liège, where he developed into a highly regarded prospect.
Mawete made his professional debut in 2022 with SL16, Standard’s U23 side competing in the Challenger Pro League. Over the course of two seasons, he made 56 appearances for Les Rouches, while also being given opportunities with the first team. In 2024-2025, he joined Lierse on loan and went on to make 20 appearances.
On the international stage, Mawete has represented Belgium at various youth levels. He is known for his stamina, positional awareness, and defensive solidity.
Mawete will wear the number 26 shirt at SK Beveren.
